Professional Career
Coach Giusti began his coaching career back in 2015. He had the opportunity to
coach and his alma mater (Abilene Christian) as a student assistant after his playing career came to an end. His main responsibilities were to work with the team's infielders and assist with the hitters and offensive game plan.
During the 2015-2016 year, Giusti became the Head Baseball Coach at Rotan High School. In his first year at the helm Giusti took Rotan to their first playoff appearance in over 10 seasons and improved the team from just 3 wins the season before to 13 wins. He was named district 6-2A coach of the year.
The following year, Giusti went back to College baseball as an assistant coach at Galveston College. Here, he helped guide the Whitecaps to a 37-21 record and a second place finish within the conference. Galveston earned a trip to the regional tournament where it eventually fell short of making the World Series.
Giusti would then move on to the University of Arkansas - Little Rock of the Sun Belt Conference. During this time he helped Little Rock to one of the best seasons in program history with a third place overall finish within the conference and amassed more than thirty wins.. After a chance to win the league, the Trojans won their 1st postseason game since 2011. The following year saw just as much success as Little Rock would earn the number two seed in the conference behind perennial power Coastal Carolina but would fail to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
From 2019 - 2021 Giusti would go back home to Galveston College yet again as the associate head coach/recruiting coordinator. During this stint, the Whitecaps would have many accolades such as two different top twenty recruiting classes in JUCO as well as top 15 preseason ranking in 2020. Unfortunately COVID-19 disrupted what was shaping up to be a big year with a 15-5 start when the season was canceled. The 2021 season did not go as planned as the Whitecaps finished with a .500 record, They did however rank among the league leaders in many offensive categories.
Coach Giusti would then move on to become an assistant coach at Houston Baptist University with legendary big leaguer Lance Berkman as the Head Coach. After a rough start for HBU during non-conference play, they rebounded during the conference slate and would be at the top of the conference standings for the majority of the year until the final weekend. The HBU offense led the way for most of the year with the help of Giusti being in charge of the offense.
Giusti has been the head varsity baseball assistant at Summer Creek high school since the fall of 2022. In 2023 the Bulldogs made a push at a district championship and ultimately finished as the second place team and were bi-district playoff champions. The Bulldogs will begin the 2024 season with a target on their back after being placed a top-25 team in the state 6A preseason polls.
